Approximately 7000 years prior to DMFA, relations between the Cubi and Dragon races broke down completely, resulting in a great war which resulted in the near-extinction of the 'Cubi race. The duration of the war is unknown though it can be assumed that it lasted for a number of centuries, and skirmishes and vendettas seem to have continued even up to the present time.[1] [2]
It is held that Fa'Lina's actions in setting up the safe-haven of the SAIA Academy (which can only be entered with her consent), and the efforts of Taun Clan were instrumental in saving their kind.[3].
The cause of the war is unclear, though it has been stated that the ascension of Cyra was one of the major causes which ultimately sparked the war[4].
