All 'Cubi belong to a Clan, whether they know it or not. The clan they belong to will influence which emotions they can readily absorb, and has a symbol associated with it which will appear somewhere upon their body as their magical proficiency increases.
Piflak Clan[]
Piflak became a clan when it's leader was 2,000 years of age with only 2 clan members. Thus, there is a limit on clan strength, only allowing one clan member for every millennium that Piflak has lived. Before Piflak's clan page was revealed, it was unknown whether a clan age was based on the number of years since the clan founding, or the age of the leader him/herself.

Beliefs and Lifestyle[]
Piflak members are encouraged to choose one thing and focus on it at a time. The clan is generally competitive, and each member has mastered at least one musical instrument.
Duties[]
Clan population is heavily regulated, with couples only being allowed to produce one child every one thousand years. This has kept the clan as a whole extremely stable; they suffered few casualties during the Dragon-Cubi War and quickly recovered after the war's conclusion.
Although individuals of Piflak Clan are encouraged to pursue whatever aspirations they have, as a clan of perfectionists, they are expected to ultimately excel at their career of choice.
