All 'Cubi belong to a Clan, whether they know it or not. The clan they belong to will influence which emotions they can readily absorb, and has a symbol associated with it which will appear somewhere upon their body as their magical proficiency increases.
Quoar Clan[]
Quoar's clan is the oldest, and supposedly one of the most powerful clans with a living Tri-Wing leader. They are very reclusive and do not make use of SAIA. The reason for this may have to do with something Dr. Ink did over 2,375 years before the main comic, as implied in Abel's Story, pages Twenty and Twenty-One. However, Quoar sends an envoy to the academy every thousand years, and by this it is known that he is still alive and active.
'Cubi outside Quoar clan may be born with the traits of heterochromic eyes or mixed wings, and this is considered to be a good omen. 'Cubi born with both traits (such as Abel) are rare and held to be ideal among 'Cubi.
Quoar's marking contains two colours. This is an exceptionally rare trait that has only been possible four times since the 'Cubi race first appeared.
